BUY MY PIXELS:

Pixels on “The Fishing Pixels” home page are available in 100 pixel “blocks”, with each block measuring 10x10 pixels. You will see the homepage is divided into 10,000 of these blocks. The reason for selling them in these blocks is because anything smaller than 10x10 pixels would be too small to display anything significant.

(However, if you want to own less than 100 pixels - ie. one pixel - you could always group together with family/friends/colleagues and buy a single 10x10 block.)

Buy 5,000 or more in pixels and get an extra 20% of pixels

5,000 pixels @ $500 = 6,000 pixels

10,000 pixels @ $1,000 = 12,000 pixels

Each 10x10 block costs $10, that’s a cost of 10¢ per pixel. You can buy as many blocks of pixels as you like, as long as there are some available. Please read all of the following Terms and Conditions, if you are about to buy some pixels - especially those underlined.

Terms and Conditions:

• The minimum purchase is $10 (100 pixels), and the maximum purchase is whatever I have left.

• When you “buy” my pixels, you will not “own” any part of the homepage or the site, but rather you are granted the right to submit an image and link, which will then be published on the homepage in the respective space you have paid for

• You cannot change the image or link once you have submitted them, so you must be sure of the image & link you want on the homepage, which will be there for at least 5 years. The only exception is if you have a very good reason why you need a change to your image/link, ie. your site no longer exists, major structural change to your site, legal reasons, etc. (I will decide if your reason is valid).

• If your image and link are accepted and published on the homepage, you cannot get a refund.

• The site and homepage will be online for at least 5 years (starting from the day it launched), so at least until November 2010, but possibly even longer (that's the goal).

• No obscene/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted, and I decide what is appropriate for my site. If you submit an image or link that is rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative, otherwise your money will be refunded and you will have your pixels

• If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked website to show offensive/obscene/adult material then your link will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get a refund of any kind for the downtime.

• If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the homepage, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become publicly available again.

• Images must be the exact size you have paid for (ie. 100 pixels = 10x10 pixels).

• Images must be in GIF or JPEG format, and a reasonable file size.

• Images must NOT be animated (The work involved in that would never let me go fishing).

• Links must be to web pages only and begin with http://

• You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit.

• Funds must be fully received and cleared before your pixels go live on the homepage.

• There might be occasional downtime for site maintenance or unforeseen technical issues, but I'll try my best to keep these to a minimum.

• Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (in my Pay Pal or bank account), I will aim to get your pixels online within 24 - 48hrs (but please have patience if things kick off and loads of people order at the same time)

Ok great, so now you're ready to buy some pixels. There are two ways to pay for pixels: Pay Pal or Check.

Pay Pal :

Pay Pal is the ideal payment method for purchasing pixels. Because your image goes up faster, (check must clear before image goes up) please ensure you order the correct quantity of blocks when ordering. Once you have paid for your pixels, please e-mail pixels@fishingpixels.com with the following:

1. Provide your name and email address used to make payment.

2. Attach your image as a GIF or JPEG (must be correct size for the pixels purchased).

3. State where you want your graphic to be placed on the homepage (ie. "50 blocks across, 20 blocks down"). Make sure you are certain, because you can't change it later.

4. State which website you would like your graphic linking to (must begin with “http://”)

5. State what TITLE/ALT text you want for your image, max. 50 characters. TITLE/ALT text appears when people mouse over your image.

Current estimated time from ordering your pixels to going live on homepage: 24 hours, (please allow up to 48hrs).

Pixels are sold on a first come first serve basis, if you want to use a check and need to reserve a group of pixels to make sure you get the space you want, then a 10% deposit via Pay Pal is required. Space will be reserved for 15 business days (of deposit) for check to arrive and clear! After that the deposit is forfeited and the pixels go back up for sale.

Wire Transfer:

A wire transfer of funds to my bank account is possible for larger purchases of pixels, ie, $1000 and above, Please e-mail pixels@fishingpixels.com if you would like to arrange the purchase of pixels using a Wire Transfer (a 10% deposit via Pay Pal may be required if you want your pixels to be displayed faster).
